Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 17 décembre 1822 font état de l'acte de baptême suivant : 

«Brown Baptized 

Margaret daughter of Brown    ?  late of Belfast County of Antrim Ireland

              & of Elisabeth^x his wife, was born in the fourteenth of November and privatetly baptized on the seventeenth of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred & twenty two.

Dans la marge, on peut lire l'ajout suivant qui fait référence au nom de la mère :

« ^x maiden name Elisabeth Walker - (no evidence of a marriage & the father not in the country)». 

Au fait, quelle vérification a pu être effectuée par le pasteur à propos d'un mariage antérieur des parents ?
