Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 13 juillet 1813 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant : 

«Johnson Buried 

John Johnson, of the City of Quebec, shiprigger, aged forty nine years, was accidentally killed by falling into the hold of a ship, July the thirteenth, and was buried July the fourteenth, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen.
